PRP- PLATELET-RICH PLASMA

PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL

A PRP vampire facial is an exclusive treatment for natural skin rejuvenation using autologous platelets naturally present in the body. The treatment uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP); stem cells and growth factors in the plasma to repair and renew the tissue to rejuvenate to the skin. The vampire facial, which can also be known as the PRP facial, includes drawing blood from your arm, the blood is then spun in a specialist machine which separates the platelets and the plasma is then either microneedled or injected into your skin. Perfect for those who would like to soften fine lines, encourage natural repair including volume loss and skin texture, without the use of dermal fillers or botox.

PRP therapy is an exceptionally safe and completely natural treatment with no artificial products being injected into the body. By activating platelets (to release growth factors from granules in the platelets), the treatment is made even more successful, especially when combined with microneedling.

The benefits of the treatment includes;

- It addresses both the epidermis and dermis layer of the skin

- It protects by applying white blood cells and antioxidants to the skin

- Rejuvenates by introducing growth factors and stem cells into the skin

-Treats lines, pigmentation, scars and hair loss by increasing cell renewal time, stimulating collagen and the natural healing mechanism of the skin

- Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

- Visibly reduces scarring and sun damage

- Skin becomes healthier and thicker

- Stimulates hair growth

PRP can be used on the face, scalp, neck, tear troughs, back of the hands and other parts of the body for skin rejuvenation with excellent results.

PRP FOR HAIR REJUVENATION

PRP for hair loss involves using platelet rich plasma, stem cells from your own blood plasma to stimulate the hair follicles to promote growth and thickening. The procedure involves drawing blood from your arm, the blood is then spun in a specialist machine which separates the platelets and the plasma is then injected into the scalp.

For PRP in any area a course of 3-4 sessions is recommended for optimal results 4-6 weeks apart. We offer a discount package for multiple sessions and you can spread the cost if required.

PROFHILO

Profhilo is an award winning injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid to treat skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with time. Voted the best injectable product in Europe in the aesthetic industry, there is no wonder it is taking England by storm. It is injected below the surface of the skin where it disperses and reacts with the tissue to  boost hydration. It is great for treating your hands, neck and face.

Over the next four weeks the treatment works to boost elastin & collagen production, effectively remodelling the skin and giving it a plumper, smoother & firmer appearance. For optimum results Profhilo requires two treatments, both of which are included in our price.  Please note if you do not have the second treatment 4 weeks later you will not get the full results and treatment cannot be carried out at a later date.

With age hyaluronic acid production slows down and the skin looks duller and dehydrated, with fine lines and wrinkles forming. Hyaluronic acid is best known as a ‘filler’ and is usually used to give volume to lips or to contour other areas of the face. Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available for an aesthetic treatment on the market. And due to the development process which thermally bonds, rather than chemically, the treatment acts as a high performance hydrator and not a filler. Its gel like consistency distributes smoothly and evenly without the formation of any lumps – a potential risk with traditional fillers. This means it can be used on areas which are difficult to treat with traditional fillers, such as the neck and forehead. Profhilo's structure also allows it to flow over an extended area to boost hydration and smooth or ‘remodel’ the skin. Patients often think of Profhilo almost like levelling concrete smoothing and plumping the treated area. Results last up to 12 months and down time is very minimal. Treatment takes approximately 20-30 minutes and can be used on the hands, neck or face.

Profhilo is for a more overall full face rejuvenation, Sunekos, Jalupro and polynucleotides are for specific areas under the face including under eyes, above the top lip etc. Prices start from £399.

ECONOMY SKIN BOOSTER

We currently use Seventy Hyal as our skin booster alternative. It works very similarly to Profhilo except with lidocaine for additional comfort when having treatment. Two treatments 4 weeks apart are still recommended. This is our alternative to Profhilo for patients who would still like the treatment but at a reduced fee.

If you're unsure which booster may be best for you, please read below.

LIP FILLER

Sunekos and Jalupro are the new extra cellular matrix regeneration systems for biogenesis. It gives an overall volume to face with an lifting effect which can  be used under the eyes, neck, décolleté and hands.
It consists of an unique mix of hyaluronic acid and amino acids, which are patented, this mix stimulates both collagen and elastin production (mechanically and chemically) to regenerate the extra cellular matrix, which promotes tissue regeneration and repair by increasing fibroblast production. Unlike other procedures both products are completely safe as are not a crossed linked hyaluronic acid.

It increases skin elasticity and reduces fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrating and adding moisture to the skin, from the inside out. Results are more natural compared to dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections. Both are great products and are simply two different brands, your clinician will choose which is best for you depending on your problematic area, you can express if you have a preference.

They're great for fine lines and creases filler may not be suitable for. This service is offered by Corrine only and a course of treatment is recommended for optimal results. A free consultation is available to discuss all treatment options.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SKIN BOOSTER IS BEST?

Good question. Profhilo was one of the first of it's kind and took the aesthetic world by storm, it is a great product but there are so many equally effective skin boosters on the market now that are significantly less, hence why we introduced the Economy skin booster.

We simplify it to patients like this. Imagine Profhilo is a Louis Vuitton hand bag and your Economy skin booster is an M&S bag. Both are great bags that do what they are designed to do, it just depends on if you want to pay for the name.

Some patients have had Profhilo for many years and love the results and would not like to change. Others have made the jump and haven't noticed a difference in their results or outcome.

DERMAROLLING & MICRONEEDLING COMPARISON.

The main difference between derma rolling (home use) and professional microneedling lies in the device, technique, depth of needle penetration, and the level of expertise involved.

1. Derma Rolling (At-Home)

Derma rolling at home involves using a small, handheld roller device that has fine needles on the surface. Typically, the needles range from 0.25mm to 1.0mm in length. This process involves rolling the device over your skin to create micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. At-home rollers typically have shorter needles, but users often lack the precision to control pressure and depth, increasing the risk of superficial damage or ineffective results. Using longer needles (beyond 1.0mm) can cause skin trauma and damage. Improper sanitization of the roller can introduce bacteria into the skin, leading to infections. At home, you might not have the same sterile environment and tools as professionals. Incorrect rolling technique (too much pressure or incorrect direction) can cause irritation, inflammation, and potentially lead to scarring. Without expert guidance, you may end up causing uneven trauma to your skin, leading to inconsistent results or potential hyperpigmentation (dark spots).

2. Professional Microneedling

Professional microneedling is typically performed with a motorized device that uses precise, adjustable needles, ranging from 0.5mm to 2.5mm or even longer, depending on the treatment area and desired effect. Professionals can adjust the needle depth depending on the area being treated, ensuring the right amount of skin penetration to target specific skin concerns, like scars or wrinkles. The procedure is performed in a sterile environment with medical-grade equipment, minimizing the risk of infection. A trained professional knows the proper technique, ensuring even treatment and minimal risk of side effects like scarring. Professional microneedling devices often offer better depth control, quicker healing, and more effective results than at-home rollers.

Imagine the comparison to a hairdresser dying your hair and a box dye you carry out yourself, yes you should see improvement but the result is never as effective and it can cause complication or additional problems if not carried out safely so it is not something we recommend at home.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a non-invasive but extremely effective rejuvenation treatment. Using very tiny needles to puncture the surface of the skin, it stimulates your body's natural healing response, causing your skin to produce more collagen and elastin to help you look younger. It has very little discomfort and downtime and can result in up to years worth of collagen production from just one treatment. This is ideal for patients who would like to slow down their ageing process and help to prevent visible signs of ageing, but also those who would like to reduce current signs of ageing without the use of dermal fillers or botox.

CHEMICAL PEEL

Chemical peel is an excellent treatment for all ages and skin types and can be used to treat pigmentation, fine lines, sun damaged skin, acne, aging skin, improves pores and skin surface. A chemical peel is a skin treatment that involves applying a chemical solution to the skin, which exfoliates the outer layers and causes them to peel off. The goal is to stimulate the body to improve the texture, appearance, and tone of the skin by removing damaged skin cells, promoting the growth of new skin, and stimulating collagen production. You do not physically see your layers of skin peel so are able to work after treatment.

OBAGI BLUE PEEL

The Blue Peel treatment is a superficial salicylic acid-based facial peel that exfoliates and helps improve overall complexion. It provides tighter, smoother, brighter-looking skin after just 1 use. A series of 3–6 peels provide the best results. It dramatically improves the appearance and health of your skin by effectively removing layers of aged and damaged skin. This is the best chemical peel we offer for more noticeable result, both peels are beneficial however.
